WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE PART OF CHASE?
Essendon Keilor College have been involved in the CHASE program for four years through the Year 11 VCAL curriculum. This program is perfect for these hands-on learners, as the variety of interactive workshop activities help the students develop knowledge and skills during the Education phase. The Action phase allows students to demonstrate initiative and teamwork abilities through planning, developing and implementing their group project.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE CHASE PROGRAM?
As a teacher, I believe the CHASE program is a great addition to the VCAL curriculum. It builds a working relationship between schools, Melbourne University and the local community. It adds variety to the classroom. The students enjoy working with the CHASE mentors and value the relationships that are formed as a result. They constantly ask me when we have the CHASE program next!
