Brunswick Secondary College have been with CHASE since 2017. The school sits in the Moreland City Council municipality.
There were 18 students from Brunswick Secondary College who participated in the CHASE program in 2019.
WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF CHASE?
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT THE CHASE PROGRAM?
Brunswick Secondary College has been involved in the CHASE program for the past 4 years. Given our small cohort of VCAL students in year 11, it was important to have a program that encourages students to connect with the local community. That’s where CHASE comes in! The CHASE structure allows students to develop knowledge and understanding of issues that affect youth, develop external partnerships and then showcase their projects to teachers, mentors, and community members.
It is such a privilege to watch the students grow throughout the program. From enhancing their knowledge of the issues that affect the most, developing relationships with CHASE mentors and community organisations, to students having the confidence to present in front of a live audience at the end of the program. Students take pride in what they have achieved in the CHASE program and really value the work that is done by the mentors and their teachers.
